Introduction to drive ICS
The PT6913 chip uses linear constant current to control the output current,
the internal set success rate MOS, the output current can be set to 10mA~60mA through the external resistance.
PT6913 maximum input voltage up to 400V, using high-end drive mode, to provide LED open circuit, LED short-circuit protection.
In any case, the excess voltage of the input power supply higher than the LED load is borne by PT6913, and the LED load is not exposed to overvoltage threats, which p rovides very high reliability and stabilityfor the overall solution.
In order to prevent IC overheating damage, PT6913 integrated temperature compensation function, when the IC internal junction temperature rise to 130 ℃, PT6913 began to reduce the output current, when the junction temperature reached 150 ℃, the output current will be reduced to 0.
This avoids the flickering problem of traditional over-temperature protection methods.
How it works
The PT6913A/B adopts linear constant current drive technology, and the circuit topology is simple and practical.
LED load, chip and rectifier after the power supply series connection, constitute the current circuit, output current by the IC set.
When the input voltage is higher than the LED load voltage, the output current is constant,the input voltage exceeds the LED load voltage part by the IC bear, IC maximum input voltage up to 400V, to meet the vast majority of AC input applications.

When the internal junction temperature of the IC is higher than 130 ℃ (typical), the is pin voltage decreases with the 15mV/℃ coefficient, and the output current decreases as a result.
When the internal junction temperature of the IC reaches 150 ℃, the output current will be reduced to 0. The temperature attenuation function can effectively avoid the flicker phenomenon caused by the traditional overheating protection function.
When the abnormal ambient temperature causes the IC junction temperature to rise and reach the 130℃,PT6913A/B will try to reduce the LED heat by reducing the output current, thus reducing the ambient temperature.
